馃捈About the Role:
As a Senior Environmental Specilaist, you will collaborate closely with the project development team. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the environmental viability of land projects for Abei Energy's development initiatives in Spain.
馃摑Your responsibilities will be:
- Conduct detailed analyses of potential land areas for renewable energy projects across Spain (utility-scale solar, wind farms, battery energy storage and green hydrogen).
- Analyze how environmental conditions in these areas influence regulatory hurdles, permitting, and available land area.
- Research and interpret current federal/state statutes and county/city ordinances. Determine how these laws impact the feasibility of potential projects.
- Understand project permitting and regulatory procedures for wind and solar projects. Synthesize and communicate findings to department heads.
- Use geospatial analysis tools to manipulate and analyze vector and raster data.
- Create, export, and organize spatial data to assist land developers and technical office with project origination.
Requisitos m铆nimos
馃攽What we expect from you:
- Education: Graduate/postgraduate in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Engineering (Environmental, Chemistry, ...), Territory Planning, related careers and/or master's degrees.
- Previous experience with Environmental Regulation, Communication with Public Agencies, and Permitting applicable to renewable energy development.
- Experience with QGIS and Geospatial analysis tools (Google Earth Pro, ArGIS, etc.) will be highly valued.
- Advanced use of the Office Package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Team player with problem solving, interpersonal skills, plus good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience reviewing or conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
- English B2 level is mandatory.
