Permitting Specialist

ABEI ENERGY is a leading International Independent Power Producer (IPP) dedicated to generating clean and renewable energy from diverse sources, including photovoltaic, wind, BESS and biomethane. With an expanding presence in Spain and key international markets such as the USA, UK, Italy, Poland, Germany and Mexico.

We are looking for a Permitting Specialist based in Germany to lead the project management of our gorwing renewable energy portfolio in the region, from the design to the authorization phase, and the follow up with the competent authorities (permitting).

What You'll Do:

• Project management, from the design to the application phase.
• Support in the preparation of the necessary documentation to be submitted to the agencies (Region, Ministries, Municipalities).
• Manage the developers and/or contractors responsible for the authorisation processes.
• Follow up the project during the authorisation process and coordinate with the competent Authorities.
• Coordinate the different project aspects pertaining to the company departments in order to achieve the project objectives.
• Review and negotiation of:
• Land agreements.
• Easements.
• Option agreements.
• Co-development agreements.
• Development services agreements.
• Lead permitting-related issues.
• Advice on German regulatory and administrative matters affecting renewable energy projects.
• Review of grid-related agreements and regulatory requirements.
• Support on M&A Transactions.

What We're Looking For:

• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Engineering or Urbanistic planning. A Master's degree in renewable energies will be considered a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of sector regulations: PV, BESS and/or Wind regulation, permitting process (national, regional and local) and urbanistic/landscape planning.
• Excellent German & professional English proficiency.
• Availability for travelling within the region.
• Driving licence (B).
